I’ve got my eye on…Trapeze Dresses!

If there  is one thing I am looking for this summer, it’s throw-on-and-go outfits.  Having a new baby in tow definitely takes some time out of my beauty and fashion routines.  Enter the trapeze dress (aka the swing dress).  It’s so easy to throw on, it’s light and breezy, and it hides the post-baby imperfections wonderfully!  I am loving this Striped Swing Dress from Loft! It’s perfectly preppy to start the summer off right!

I’m picturing this dress with a pair of cognac leather sandals and a mini saddle bag for the perfect summer look!  Confession: I ordered this dress right when I found it.

Here are a few more fun picks to choose from:

These all would all be a great fast outfit in the Texas heat this summer!  What are some of your go-to’s for a quick summer outfit?

I’ve got my eye on…workout gear!

Even though most of America is just beginning to feel it and see it, I promise, it’s spring!  Which means, summer is right around the corner…which means, so are short shorts to show off our long legs!  This is why I am going to be hitting the yoga mat and the pavement in full force!  I’m not a huge fan of running, so when I say “hit the pavement”, I mean “walk at a brisk pace”.  Intense, I know.  But to make up for my lack of motivation with the cardio, I do hot yoga twice a week!  Love it!  In order to truly get the most out of my workout, obviously I need some cute, new workout gear!  Here are some things I am loving right now, in tall sizes, of course!  This one below is my favorite!

Printed X’s & O’s Tank

Tops/Tanks:

  • Printed X’s & O’s Tank from Athleta – great for yoga, walking or jogging
  • Jaya Tank 2 from Athleta – yoga, jogging/running (This has a built-in sports bra, but beware if you are very busty!)
  • New Look Tall Pocket Slouch Top from ASOS – this would be great to throw on after a class or when leaving the gym on chilly spring days!
  • Up-Tempo Seamless Bra from Athleta – this is a medium support bra, but they have a full range of options for low to high support!

Bottoms/Pants:

  • Wunder Under Pant from Lululemon – I know the inseam says 30 1/2″, but trust me on this one.  If you buy a size up (I normally wear a 6 so I bought an 8) there is extra length.  My wunder under pants actually bunch at the bottom!
  • Blyse Yoga Skinny Pant from Long Tall Sally – I am all about the skinny fit!
  • Wunder Under Crop from Lululemon – I love the print on these!  Something more fun than basic black.  The wunder under crop is great because it’s a bit longer than their other cropped pants, and they don’t ride up!

I hope you guys enjoy these picks as much as you  enjoy getting back into your workout routine!  Don’t forget to drink plenty of water!!

I’ve got my eye on…Aztec Print Shorts

No doubt about it, folks, printed shorts are a super-trend this summer.  There are tons of adorable options on the market, but for some reason, I’m drawn to aztec and tribal prints!  We’ve all seen this image floating around on the wonderful world of Pinterest which is what spiked my “need” for aztec print shorts into overdrive!

Aztec Shorts

These are great because they combine the black and white aspect with all the colors into one GREAT print!  I have searched and searched, but to no avail, I cannot find who makes these shorts!  If you know, please…PLEASE leave it in a comment!  I did, however, find several printed shorts listed below that embrace the black and white trend and give some color while keeping the aztec/tribal feel.  The main thing I want to point out here is to avoid extremely short versions of any printed short.  The eye is already drawn downward from the print, so it’s best to keep it tasteful!

If you’re not into the aztec or tribal prints, there are tons of prints out there!  Some of my other favorites are floral, stripes, and polka dots!
